Rocky Mountain Telecom contracted by Government of Canada to provide Data Voice facilities for the G8 summit located in the spectacular Delta Lodge @ Kananaskis in June 2002.
Technicians Kim Hysert, Steve Michie, Alex Popoff, Leon White, Jesse Aesenault and Chris Lamb installed 565 certified telephone and data cable runs located at Delta Lodge @ Kananaskis, Boundary Ranch, and Executive Resorts of Kananaskis (Mount Kidd Manor currently named). This install also included 300 telephone installs including analog, digital and ISBN BRI applications to provide voice data and video conferencing facilities.
The installations also included combined efforts with Mike's Electric in Banff to cable RCMP locations with single mode fiber infrastructure for security and secure communications.
These installations were completed in a 15 day time limit and was considered one of the quickest and most successful G8's to this day.
